i sincerely congratulate by heart for such a wonderful job, it is indeed a marathon job and especially in phonetic so close to urdu.
I practically use every 2/3 day to look my favourite poets plus new whom i never heard.
It is lovely.

The Urdu has its own Arabic-Farsi script ie Nastaliq. If Urdu is to be written in Latin/Roman script then it should follow Turkish model. Ataturk changed Turkish script from Nastaliq to modified Latin script. So we have a successful example of a language
elated to Urdu written in another script.The current Turkish script must be the foundation of this website. This Roman script used in this site does not give correct prounciation to Urdu words. Even the word "Urdu" is Turkish word meaning "camp" and Urdu
as "Zaban-e-Urdu".

Gentleman: I cannot tell you how pleased I am to run into your webcite. I was looking for Hyderabadi music (dholak kay geet, to be precise), since I am originally from Hyderabad, Deccan (A.P).
It was wonderful to see a couple of poems in your collection of forgotten poets like Salamm Machlishahri and prem warbartoni.
If you think of it, please try to contact the editor of Biswin Saddi (New Delhi). He should provide you with a whole slew of jems from a number of wonderful Indian and Pakistani poets.
I hope you include in your collection the works of Amjad Hyderabadi, and Naresh Kumar Shaad.
I was into collection of works of numerous poets while I was in India, but living in the U.S. for more than thirty years, I lost touch with the wornderful experience of reading urdu poetry and listening to it.
If you know of persons of literary taste in Alexandria or Norfolk, VA, please send me their names; or alternatively, send them my name, so that I can periodically get info on activities related to my mothertonge.

Even though it must have taken quite a hard work to compile this site but i think if u had somehow (maybe by the use of scanner)given poetry in urdu instead of spelling urdu in english, it would have been real hard for readers to quit from this site. Than

I had a diary full of Ghazals of my favorite Poet Bashir Badr, which I lost in India. Bashir Badr is the only poet that goes deep into my mind.

It's a wonderful site for true lovers of ghazals. It's just a matter of conjecture, but when it comes to spelling in English, don't you feel that 'Ghazal' is more appropriate than 'Gazal'?

Marvellous! When I came across your web side, I fetched those of my favourite ghazal CDs that don’t contain any information about the poets and their poems (shame on MUSIC TODAY!!!). It took me just a few minutes to identify some twelve items or so.

I was browsing through the archive and one of the nazm of nasir kazmi
"dayaar-e-dil kii raat me.n chiraaG thaa jalaa gayaa "
need few corrections
a. The opening line is
"dayaar-e-dil kii raat me.n chiraaG sa jalaa gayaa ". It is "sa" and not "thaa"
b. The last shair is
"gaye dino.n kii laash par pa.De rahoge kab talak
uTho.n amal-kasho.n uTho.n ki aafataab sir pe aa gayaa"
u have missed the first uTho.n in the last misra.
