Home | Deccember '98 Index

Date: 28-Dec-98
Poet: Shakeel Badayuni

Talat Mehmood and Shakeel Badayuni is probably
a combination that one would look for in a Hindi
film song. Yet, a number of Shakeel's compositions
are featured among the non-filmi Gazals sungs not
only by Talat , but by such Gazal luminaries like
Begum Akhtar and Ghulam Ali.

Today's Gazal is a classic in itself.
