We are pleased to announce that starting from March 
1st, we are starting two new mailing lists - Ashaar and 
Lafz.

It is said that you can find a sher to suit any occasion. 
Ashaar will be a weekly mailing list where couplets 
based on a theme shall be posted. You can subscribe 
to Ashaar by sending a blank e-mail to 
ashaar-subscribe@eGroups.com

There have been many requests for help with Urdu 
words and their meaning. Lafz will be a daily mailing 
list where a word and its meaning will be posted. 
Whenever possible, one or more sher where the 
word has been used will be included. You can 
subscribe to Lafz by sending a blank e-mail to 
lafz-subscribe@eGroups.com

TuuTe huye dilo.n kii duaa mere saath hai 
duniyaa terii taraf hai Khudaa mere saath hai 

aavaaz ghu.Ngharuuo.n kii nahii.n hai to kyaa huaa 
saaGar ke TuuTane kii sadaa mere saath hai 

tanhaa_ii kis ko kahate hai.n mujhako pataa nahii.n 
kyaa jaane kis hasii.n kii duaa mere saath hai 

paimaanaa saamane hai to kuchh Gam nahii.n "Nizam" 
ab dard-e-dil kii ko_ii davaa mere saath hai
