I love reading, listening to old Hindi film songs and ghazals, surfing the net, watching movies, traveling, photography, and a myriad other things. I used to be, and still am, very fond of Indian classical dance.

Books are and will remain my first love. My first novel was "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by "Roald Dahl". I can and do read anything I can lay my hands on - with the exception of "mushy novels". I read a couple (couldn't finish them) and that was enough to turn my stomach. I love comic books, specially Tintin and Asterix and Obelix.

Some of my favourite books are: Leon Uris' Exodus, Prof. Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time and Richard Bach's Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

Music was ever-present in my home when I was growing up. Vividh Bharati was a major factor in shaping my preference for old Hindi film songs. 'Antakshari' was a regular feature in our house. Urdu poetry was discussed on and off and the first ghazal I heard was from my father - a non-filmi Mohammed Rafi Gazal "baat chalii teri aa.Nkho.n se jaa pahu.Nchii paimaane tak". I have been searching for this ghazal for a long time now but haven't been successful (yet).

I simply love watching movies. One of my favouite actors is Harrison Ford. He has portrayed some of my favourite characters from some of my favourite films - Han Solo, Indiana Jones and Jack Ryan. Fact is I find him very handsome. Another guy I like - Adrian Paul, who played Highlander in the TV series.
