Mehfil-e-Gazal - Ghazal and nazms

Mehfil-e-Gazal is a mailing list which showcases the best of Urdu poetry. Posts are sent by e-mail on Tuesdays and Fridays to members of the mailing list. Each post contains a ghazal or a nazm, along with meanings of difficult words.

Reviews of books and ghazal albums, forthcoming mushairas and ghazal concerts, and other information are also provided from time to time.

Membership to the Mehfil-e-Gazal mailing list is free. However, only the moderator can post to the group. This is to prevent the members from receiving unwanted and unsolicited e-mails (also called spam).

Information on how to unsubscribe or change the e-mail address that you have subscribed with are sent in a Welcome e-mail on subscription to the list. You can get the same information by sending an e-mail to moderator@urdupoetry.com with the subject "UNSUBSCRIBE" or "CHANGE EMAIL". You can also automatically unsubscribe by sending an e-mail to urdu_poetry-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com. The e-mail must be sent from the e-mail account which is currently subscribed to the list.
