I would like to remind our subscribers that the 
two new mailing lists - Ashaar and Lafz - will 
start from 1st March. 

The theme for Ashaar for the first week is 'Urdu'. 
If you know of any related ashaar on 'Urdu', 
please feel free to send it in. My e-mail address

As a regular feature of Ashaar, I will be 
announcing the theme of the forthcoming week 
in advance so that members of Ashaar can 
send in related sher, if they wish to contribute.
This announcement will be made on Ashaar 
only. 

Today's ghazal is another contribution by another 
of our fellow Mehfil-e-Gazal subscribers. 

na shikaayate.n na gilaa kare 
ko_ii aisaa shaKhs huaa kare
jo mere liye hii sajaa kare
mujh hii se baate.n kiyaa kare

[gilaa = complaint]

kabhii roye jaaye vo bepanaah
kabhii betahaashaa udaas ho
kabhii chupake chupake dabe qadam
mere piichhe aa kar ha.Nsaa kare

[bepanaah = limitless]

merii qurbate.n merii chaahate.n
ko_ii yaad kare qadam qadam
mai.n taviil safar me.n huu.N agar
merii vaapasii kii duaa kare

[qurbat = nearness/intimacy; taviil = long; vaapasii = return]
