zaKhm-e-tanhaa_ii me.n Khushbuu-e-hinaa kisakii thii 
saayaa diivaar pe meraa thaa sadaa kisakii thii 

us kii raftaar se lipaTii rahii merii aa.Nkhe.n 
us ne mu.D kar bhii na dekhaa ki vafaa kis kii thii 

[raftaar = walk/motion]

vaqt kii tarah dabe paa.Nv ye kaun aayaa hai 
mai.n a.Ndheraa jise samajhaa vo qabaa kis kii thii 

[qabaa = long overcoat]

aa.Nsuo.n se hii sahii bhar gayaa daaman meraa 
haath to mai.n ne uThaaye the duaa kis kii thii 

merii aaho.n kii zabaa.N ko_ii samajhataa kaise 
zi.ndagii itanii dukhii mere sivaa kis kii thii 

aag se dostii us kii thii jalaa ghar meraa 
dii ga_ii kis ko sazaa aur Khataa kis kii thii 

[Khataa = mistake]

mai.n ne biinaa_iyaa.N bo kar bhii a.ndhere kaaTe 
kis ke bas me.n thii zamii.n abr-o-havaa kis kii thii 

[biinaa_iyaa.N = eyes/sight]

chho.D dii kis liye tuu ne "Muzaffar" duniyaa 
justjuu sii tujhe har vaqt bataa kis kii thii 

[justajuu = search]
