us ne Khushbuu kii tarah merii paziiraa_ii kii 

[kuu = street/lane; kuu-a-kuu = from street to street/place to place]
[shanaasaa_ii = acquaintance; paziiraa_ii = acceptance]

kaise kah duu.N ki mujhe chho.D diyaa hai usane 
baat to sach hai magar baat hai rusavaa_ii kii 

[rusavaa_ii = disgrace]

vo kahii.n bhii gayaa lauTaa to mere paas aayaa 
bas yahii baat hai achchhii mere harajaa_ii kii 

teraa pahaluu tere dil kii tarah aabaad rahe 
tujh pe guzare na qayaamat shab-e-tanahaa_ii kii 

[shab-e-tanahaa_ii = night of solitude]

us ne jalatii hu_ii peshaanii pe jo haath rakhaa 
ruuh tak aa ga_ii taasiir masiihaa_ii kii 

[peshaanii = forehead; taasiir = effect]
[masiihaa_ii = healing powers]

A reminder for ghazal fans! Bazm-e-Arbab-e-Sukhan
are organizing a mushaira on Friday March 31st at 
the Mehran restaurant in Newark, California.

An update: Famous poet FARHAT SHEHZAD will also 
be present at the mushaira, along with other popular 
poets like TABISH KHANZADA and NOSHI GILANI.

There will be an inauguration ceremony of the release 
of "Sar-e-Shaher-e-Tamanna" - a book of poetry by 
"Khalid Khawaja", a renowned poet of Northern America.

Here are the details for those who missed the earlier
annoucement:
Admission: $15.00 per person with DINNER 
Mehran Restaurant, 5774 Mowry School road, Newark, CA 
Limited Seating, First Come First Serve 

Program: 
1. Dinner (7 - 9 p.m. ONLY) 
2. Mehfil-e-Mushaira
