Today's poem is a nazm by Sahir Ludhianvi. It is 
short but vintage Sahir. The title is "radd-e-amal"

cha.nd kaliyaa.N nishaat kii chun kar
muddato.n mahv-e-yaas rahataa huu.N
teraa milanaa Khushii kii baat sahii
tujh se mil kar udaas rahataa huu.N

[cha.nd = few; nishaat = happiness]
[muddato.n = long periods of time; mahv = absorbed/busy in]
[yaas = despair/disappointment]

This is from his book "Talkhiyaan" which catapulted 
him into the fore-front of Urdu poetry.

The restaurant is located at the intersection of 
the Post Street and Van Ness Ave. Parking is 
available at the Cathedral Hill hotel on Van Ness 
Ave across the street from the restaurant. Please 
get your parking stub validated at the restaurant 
to get reduced rate for parking.
