aap agar ham ko mil gaye hote
baaG me.n phuul khil gaye hote

aap ne yuu.N hii ghuur kar dekhaa
ho.nTh to yuu.N bhii sil gaye hote

kaash ham aap is tarah milate
jaise do vaqt mil gaye hote

ham ko ahal-e-Khirad mile hii nahii.n
varanaa kuchh munfa_iil gaye hote

[ahal-e-Khirad = intelligent; munfa_iil = ashamed]

us kii aa.Nkhe.n hii kaj-nazar thii.n "Adam"
dil ke parde to hil gaye hote

[kaj-nazar = sly look? (how does one translate "te.Dhii nazar")]
