Khvaahishe.n jhurriyaa.N ban kar ubharii.n
zaKhm siine me.n nihaa.N the pahale

[jhurriyaa.N = wrinkles; nihaa.N = hidden]

ab to har baat pe ro dete hai.n
vaaqif-e-suud-o-ziyaa.N the pahale

[vaaqif-suud-o-ziyaa.N = aware of profit and loss]

dil se jaise ko_ii kaa.NTaa nikalaa
ashk aa.Nkho.n se ravaa.N the pahale

ab faqat anjuman_aaraa_ii hai
aitabaar-e-dil-o-jaa.N the pahale

[faqat = merely; anjuman = gathering (place)]
[aaraa_ii = decoration]
[aitabaar-e-dil-o-jaa.N = those who had complete faith]

dosh pe sar hai ki hai barf jamii
ham to sholo.n kii zubaa.N the pahale

[dosh = shoulder]

merii ham_zaad hai tanhaa_ii merii
